NCC once again named among Europe’s Climate Leaders according to the Financial Times
For the second consecutive year, NCC is one of the Swedish companies included on the list of Europe’s Climate Leaders. The ranking was compiled by the Financial Times in collaboration with the research firm Statista.

Every year, the Financial Times highlights European companies that, in recent years, have made the most progress in tackling climate change and have reduced their greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
“It is gratifying to see our climate initiatives receiving recognition and that we have retained our position as one of Europe’s Climate Leaders. We have been successful in reducing our own emissions, in part by phasing out fossil fuel at our asphalt plants. We have set ourselves ambitious climate targets and will continue to offer innovative solutions to help reduce our own and our customers’ climate footprint,” says Susanne Lithander, CFO of NCC.
Ambitious climate agenda
NCC’s long-term target is to achieve net zero emissions by 2045. By 2030, emissions from own operations (Scope 1 and 2), as well as in the value chain (Scope 3), are to be reduced by 42 percent.* Earlier this year, NCC published a Climate Transition Plan aligned with the Paris Agreement’s goal of limiting global warming to 1.5°C. NCC has reported GHG emissions to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) each year since 2010.
*Base year 2024, with the addition of reference values for 2020.
