NCC to construct Framnäsbadet swim center in Lidköping
NCC has been commissioned by Lidköping Municipality to construct the new Framnäsbadet swim center. The project, which also includes an option for an outdoor facility, is a turnkey partnering contract with an order value of approximately SEK 680 million.

Following a period of planning in collaboration with Lidköping Municipality, the project is now moving into the production phase. The new technologically sustainable swim center will replace the Municipality’s previous facility dating back to the 1970s.
The new center spans three floors and features an eight-lane 25-meter-long swimming pool, two multifunction pools with adjustable floors, a family pool with slides and play areas, and a diving pool. The contract includes an option for an outdoor swimming pool adjacent to the center.

The Framnäsbadet swim center is part of the ongoing development of the Framnäs area in Lidköping. NCC has previously helped shape the harbor area, having delivered both a waterfront promenade and a beach park.
NCC is currently conducting nine swim center projects across Sweden. NCC has delivered a total of 21 projects in Sweden since 2010, all of which were handed over on time, with the right quality and at the agreed-upon cost.
Production will commence in the fourth quarter of 2026 and completion is scheduled for the end of 2029. A groundbreaking ceremony is planned for November. The order value is approximately SEK 680 million and will be registered among orders in the NCC Building Sweden business area in the fourth quarter of 2026.
