Liseberg Oceana Water World

In partnership with Liseberg NCC is rebuilding Oceana Water World in Gothenburg. Inspired by the history of Gothenburg, the facility will offer a spectacular water experince with 14 water attractions, including four major water slides, a family river and a wave pool.

Oceana Water World – a spectacular aquatic experience

Just like the Liseberg Grand Curiosa Hotel, Oceana Water World will feature a unique theme inspired by the history of Gothenburg. The facility will offer a spectacular water experience unlike anything else currently available in Scandinavia.

The water park will comprise almost 6,000 square metres of indoor bathing areas and 4,000 square metres outdoors. It will feature 14 water attractions, including four major water slides, a family river and a wave pool, as well as a café, shop and restaurant. Once completed, Oceana Water World will be able to accommodate approximately 1750 guests.

Rebuilding Oceana Water World

Since March 2024, NCC has carried out demolition and remediation works, as well as measures to minimise damage to the intact parts of Oceana following the fire that affected the project in February of the same year.

In July last year, NCC and Liseberg reached an agreement to rebuild the facility and have since been planning and designing the construction works. The parties have now signed an agreement covering the next phase of the project, allowing construction to commence.

NCC is the main contractor for the project and will be responsible for constructing the attraction tower, a new roof and façades, extensive technical installations, new interior finishes, and completing the indoor environment.
