Granite for Export
Granite is a hard and dense rock that has served as a widespread construction stone throughout human history. It forms from magma with a high content of silica and alkali metal oxides that slowly cools and solidifies underground. Granite is well suited for everything from aggregates for concrete to civil engineering work and road construction.
About Granite
Granite is a strong and durable rock widely used in construction, architecture, and design. Its unique appearance and resistance to weathering make it a favorite for both practical and decorative purposes. Granite comes in a variety of colors, including white, pink, gray, and black, depending on its mineral composition.
Areas of utilization
- Concrete: Granite’s hardness, durability, low porosity, and good bonding characteristics make it an excellent choice as a coarse aggregate in concrete, resulting in strong, long-lasting, and high-quality concrete structures.
- Roads, airfields and other trafficked areas: Granite is suitable for bituminous mixtures and surface treatments for roads, airfields and other trafficked areas.
- Civil enginering work and road construction: Granite is well suited for unbound and hydraulically bound materials, often used in road and civil engineering works, for example as stabilized base layers or in concrete, where cement is the most common hydraulic binder.
