Globally unique articulated hauler on site at NCC’s quarry in southern Sweden
The world’s first construction machine built using fossil-free steel arrived today at NCC’s quarry in Södra Sandby, near Lund, in southern Sweden. The construction machine, an A30G articulated hauler, was manufactured by Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE), using fossil-free steel from SSAB and will be used daily by NCC in its operations at the quarry.

NCC divest rebar factory in Norrköping
NCC is divesting the Swedish operation Hercules Armering to BE Group. The operation, which is a small manufacturing unit with a factory in Norrköping, Sweden, will now have the opportunity to develop and grow.

Staffing company Safida Montage to be phased out
Demand for staffing services in the projects has fallen in recent years. More and more the projects are using subcontractors. On the back of this development, NCC’s staffing company Safida Montage will be phased out. It has approximately 30 employees.
Project manager thanks to internal training
My name is Joel Ahlqvist and I'm project manager for the Häggvik interchange. I previously attended one of the programs at the Project Management Academy, which was established a few years ago in order, as they describe it, to develop our ability to lead and run projects more successfully. And today I'm working as project manager for one of NCC's major civil engineering projects.
NCC starts construction of three Swan Ecolabel apartment buildings in Espoo, Finland
At the beginning of the year, NCC will start the construction of three apartment buildings for Espoon Asunnot and Asuntosäätiö in Karakallio, Espoo, which will apply for the Swan Ecolabel. The total value of the contracts is around 20 MEUR.
NCC to start construction of Papirøen
NCC has received planning permission and can now begin the complex large-scale construction of Papirøen together with the development company CØ P/S. The order was first communicated in 2019 and the project is expected to be completed in 2024.
NCC tests lignin for greener asphalt
NCC and RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden) have commenced collaboration to test the renewable raw material lignin as a binding agent in asphalt. The project is part of NCC’s efforts to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and dependence on fossil products.
