Globally unique articulated hauler on site at NCC’s quarry in southern Sweden
The world’s first construction machine built using fossil-free steel arrived today at NCC’s quarry in Södra Sandby, near Lund, in southern Sweden. The construction machine, an A30G articulated hauler, was manufactured by Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE), using fossil-free steel from SSAB and will be used daily by NCC in its operations at the quarry.

NCC divest rebar factory in Norrköping
NCC is divesting the Swedish operation Hercules Armering to BE Group. The operation, which is a small manufacturing unit with a factory in Norrköping, Sweden, will now have the opportunity to develop and grow.

A headquarters district of international standard to be built in Ruoholahti combining the environment with service culture in an entirely new way
Deloitte will bring its Finnish headquarters and over 700 employees to the We Land building to be completed in the K. A. Fagerholm Square in the Ruoholahti district of Helsinki in 2022. The target set for We Land, a concept developed by NCC, is to upgrade the Ruoholahti district into one of Helsinki’s most attractive areas. The building is designed to meet the exceptionally high BREEAM rating of Outstanding.

Breakthrough in the spectacular project Eysturoy Tunnel on the Faroe Islands
On Friday 7 June, NCC celebrated its breakthrough in the sub-sea Eysturoy Tunnel’s 11.2 km long main branch which, on completion, will cut journey times to the capital Tórshavn from many locations on the Faroe Islands.
NCC dedicates week to health and safety
Starting today, NCC arranges Health and Safety Week for its fourth consecutive year. During the week, each of NCC’s more than 3,000 projects around the Nordics will dedicate time to help strengthen the health and safety culture at our worksites and workplaces.
NCC becoming increasingly equal
Today is International Women’s Day, and the trend at NCC is toward a more equal company. If the shareholders vote “yes” at the Annual General Meeting, both the Executive Team and the Board of Directors will be completely equal. NCC’s management teams are 40 percent women and 60 percent men, but in total the company is 86 percent men.
NCC wins health and safety competition in Finland with top score
NCC has been awarded first prize in the Finnish health and safety competition "Turvallisuus alkaa minusta” (Safety starts with me) where the winning worksite scored a historical maximum 100 in the TR-index, an index that is used to measure health and safety standard.
NCC’s swan label residential house nominated for an innovation award
A swan label residential building which NCC built for VAV has been nominated for an innovation award by Asuntomarkkinat, an annual housing event. This year the competition focuses on solutions and services that help control and prevent climate change.
