Hercules is Sweden's largest foundation laying company, with a market share of 25%. In 2022, the Hercules Group had around 212 employees and revenue of around SEK 611 million.
The core business is piling, supporting structures and the production of concrete piling. The Hercules Group is a part of NCC Infrastructure. The Board of Directors has its registered office in Stockholm, corporate registration number 556129-9800. Hercules is a member of the European Federation of Foundation Contractors (EFFC).
In Sweden, Hercules organizes and conducts contracting operations in the North, South and Stockholm regions. In Norway, we operate through the subsidiary HERCULES Fundamentering AS and, in Denmark, through the subsidiary HERCULES Fundering AS.
The regions offer most foundation laying methods: driven and drilled pilings of concrete, steel or wood, and sheet piling and other supporting structures.
Hercules offers expertise in geotechnical engineering and geo construction through the Innovation & Design (I&D) unit.
Hercules manufactures concrete pilings and has extensive operations in sheet piling. Our two piling factories are located in Västerås and Ucklum.
HERCULES Grundläggning AB was founded in 1988 through a merger of Göteborgs Betongpålar, founded in 1960, and BINAB, formed in 1973 but whose history goes all the way back to 1875, when the company Nya Asfalt was founded.
BINAB was the result of a merger between the foundation operations in Nya Asfalt and Granit & Beton, a subsidiary of Svenska Väg.
At the end of the 1980s, BINAB included Scanpile, Banut and Norfund AS in Norway and Herkules Piling Ltd in the UK.
