Key learnings from NCC’s project management program
New knowledge and insights that will elevate the customer’s project, and a greater understanding of NCC as a Nordic company. Those are some of the learnings that Frederik Lie Rosenfeldt, Head of Department in Building Nordics, gained after completing the Mid-size Project Management Program that NCC launched last autumn.
"One of the most important things I am taking with me from the Mid-size Project Management Program is a greater understanding of how we at NCC can differentiate ourselves from competitors by using more data-driven knowledge — for example, in the tender phase, where we can advise customers right from the start.
I have also gained deeper insight into planning and managing complex projects through new digital tools, and how we can use these tools systematically to reduce risks and increase predictability.
Going forward, I will work more actively on creating differentiation for our customers by demonstrating that we have oversight and control of the process through the data-driven knowledge we possess at NCC. It is about being able to translate this knowledge into concrete insights that elevate the customer’s project and match their needs.
"We should not hesitate to reach out"
The program has also strengthened my ability to work across organizational and international boundaries, and I now clearly see the potential in leveraging our Nordic network for knowledge sharing and collaboration.
I will try to act as an ambassador for working more across units and national borders within NCC. We should not hesitate to reach out and ask for help from colleagues in other countries—on the contrary, we can benefit greatly from each other’s experience and competencies. This is an important realization that I will carry with me going forward. "

About the program
Projects over SEK 300 million, so-called mid-sized projects, are becoming increasingly complex. To strengthen the ability to drive these projects forward, NCC has launched a new management program.
The purpose of the program is to build knowledge and competence while increasing the ability to ensure stable and efficient production in complex projects. It is also an attractive next step in the continuous development of NCC's experienced Project Managers and Site Managers.
