NCC one of Europe’s climate leaders, according to the Financial Times
NCC is one of the Swedish companies that qualified for this year’s list of Europe’s climate leaders. The ranking was compiled by the Financial Times in collaboration with the research firm Statista.
Every year, the Financial Times highlights European companies who, in recent years, have made the most progress in tackling climate change and have reduced their greenhouse gas emissions. NCC achieved a score of 67.1, out of 100. There are a total of 600 companies on the list, from approximately 2,000 initially selected.
“It is gratifying to see our climate initiatives being noticed in this context. The climate issue is driving change, and new conditions and needs require us to evolve at the same pace. We are developing new products in dialogue with our customers, and we can propose innovative solutions that promote a smaller climate footprint,” says Susanne Lithander, Chief Financial Officer and Head of Finance and IT at NCC.
In 2024, NCC achieved one of its two climate targets. As a result, NCC has decided to raise its ambitions: the target for reducing own emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by 2030 has been adjusted upward, from 60 to 75 percent.
