NCC raises Operations Development to Executive Management Group level with Ylva Lageson
NCC is raising Operations Development to the Executive Management Group level with Ylva Lageson as Head of Operational Development and IT (ODIT). The new function in the Executive Management Group will develop NCC’s processes and work methods, develop NCC’s strategic work, IT and digitalization. Fredrik Vernersson has been appointed new Head of Strategy reporting to Ylva Lageson. He is currently working with transformation services at McKinsey & Company.
"Ylva Lageson has long and extensive experience as a successful project manager at NCC. She has a profound understanding of our business and is an important addition to the more business-centric Executive Management Group we are now creating," says Tomas Carlsson, President and CEO of NCC.
Ylva Lageson is returning to the company after just over 12 months, to a position as Head of Operations Development and IT (ODIT). She will begin early in October. This function will be strengthened and be part of the Executive Management Group to drive change and development of the business from a business-centric perspective. The function also includes strategy and IT.

Fredrik Vernersson has been appointed new Head of Strategy as of October 15. Fredrik has broad industrial experience from the engineering, automotive, transport and logistics industries and has for many years worked with strategy issues and led restructuring work as a management consultant both in Sweden and abroad. Fredrik holds a Master of Science in Engineering from KTH and a MSc in Economics from the Stockholm School of Economics
IT and digitalization are other important areas within ODIT. The recruitment of a new Head of IT is underway.
