Increased sales and slightly lower earnings for NCC in the second quarter
NCC has been commissioned by the housing development company KONstruct to build 235 rental apartments for students and a café on Gøteborg Allé in Aarhus, Denmark. The investor is the Gøteborg Allé 7 ApS investment company. The order value is approximately SEK 340 million.
NCC is to construct an office and retail complex next to Ratina shopping center in Tampere, Finland. The customer is Sponda Plc and the value of the project is approximately SEK 260 million.
Safety drills, lectures and NCC’s safety competition to promote innovative solutions for better health and safety at NCC. These are some of the events planned for NCC’s Health and Safety Week, which starts today and is in its third consecutive year.
NCC is to renovate Linnanmaa University Campus in Oulu, Finland on behalf of the University of Finland. The renovation is part of the Cooperative Campus 2020 project to create premises for the University of Oulu. The order amounts to approximately 340 MSEK.
In partnership with Liseberg, NCC will extend the largest amusement park in the Nordic region. The assignment includes a water park, a themed destination hotel and parking facilities. Liseberg, through the Liseberg Skår AB development company, has budgeted the assignment at approximately SEK 2 billion.
NCC has been commissioned by Svenska Bostäder to build 172 rental apartments in Tensta. The project is part of the joint public utility housing framework agreement for the Stockholmshusen program, in which NCC is one of four contractors. The order is worth approximately SEK 250 million.
Tomas Carlsson, who will assume the position of NCC’s President and CEO today, May 7, has purchased 13,570 shares and subscribed for 282,929 call options in NCC prior to taking office.
NCC is divesting an office project in Lysaker outside Oslo in Norway, to Arctic Securities. The transaction is being conducted as a sale of the company with an underlying property value of approximately SEK 330 million.
Strong orders received but lower profit due to break-even result in NCC Property Development
Pursuant to its mandate from the Annual General Meeting held on April 11, 2018, the Board of Directors of NCC AB (publ) has decided to repurchase and sell the company’s own Series B shares.
Citycon is to acquire NCC’s 50 percent share of Mölndal Galleria for a purchase consideration based on a property value corresponding to SEK 584 million.
NCC launches Loop Industries, a tech company focusing on scalable businesses in the construction industry. The company’s portfolio currently comprises Loop Rocks, Loop Rocks Express and Hauly, digital platforms for logistics, building materials and transport.
NCC is applying IFRS 15 as of January 1, 2018 and is hereby publishing comparative figures for 2017 according to IFRS 15.
At today’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) of shareholders in NCC, the shareholders passed resolutions concerning dividend payment, election of the Board of Directors and director fees, election of auditor, guidelines for remuneration of senior executives and a long-term performance-based incentive program. Resolutions regarding the purchase and transfer of own shares were also passed.
