NCC to build Hertsö swim center in Luleå

NCC and Luleå Municipality have now initiated the construction of the Hertsö swim center in Luleå. The assignment is a partnering project and the total order value is approximately SEK 185 million.

NCC first in the world with a construction machine built using fossil-free steel

The world’s first construction machine built using fossil-free steel is being launched today in conjunction with the United Nations environmental meeting Stockholm +50. The construction machine was manufactured by Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE), using fossil-free steel from SSAB and will operate in NCC’s quarry at Södra Sandby in Skåne, Sweden.

NCC to build a new school for 850 students in Finland

NCC has been commissioned by the city of Mikkeli to build the Saimaanportti school in Finland. The project is a turnkey contract, and the order value is approximately SEK 270 million.

NCC to construct new emergency hospital in Västerås – planning now initiated

NCC and Region Västmanland are commencing the next step in their cooperation to construct a new emergency hospital in Västerås in partnering form. The parties have now agreed to conduct detailed project planning. The order value is approximately SEK 250 million.

NCC commences program to repurchase own shares

As previously announced, NCC’s Board of Directors has approved a repurchase program of own Series B shares. The program is now being initiated with the aim of adapting NCC’s capital structure to the company’s capital requirements.

Management change at NCC Industry

Grete Aspelund will become the new Head of the NCC Industry business area. Grete Aspelund is currently President of Sweco Norway and will assume her new role no later than November 1, 2022. Ylva Lagesson, who has been Head of the business area since November 2020, has chosen to return to a more operational role as Head of the Asphalt Division. She will remain in her current position until Grete Aspelund joins the Group.

Decision by NCC’s Board of Directors to repurchase own Series B shares and to adjust the dividend policy

The Board of Directors of NCC AB has decided to exercise the authorization granted by the 2022 Annual General Meeting to repurchase own Series B shares for the purpose of adapting NCC’s capital structure to the company’s capital requirements. The Board of Directors has also adjusted the dividend policy, so that approximately 60 percent of after-tax profit for the year is to be distributed to shareholders.

NCC to build residentials for students in Oslo

NCC has signed an agreement with the Foundation for Student Life (SiO) for the construction of 209 student housing units in Oslo. The project will commence in May and is expected to be completed during the autumn 2024.

NCC to construct rental apartments and retail premises in Oxelösund

In collaboration with Kustbostäder, NCC will construct a new building with premises for trade and service as well as rental apartments in central Oxelösund. Construction contracts are signed and construction will start in May. The order value amounts to approximately SEK 165 million.

NCC lets Kulma21 in Helsinki to Wolt

NCC has signed a lease with technology company Wolt, which is relocating its head office to Kulma21 in Helsinki. Wolt is leasing the entire property and will move in when the renovation work is completed in mid-2023.
