NCC to construct additional 163 apartments in Täby Park

NCC has been commissioned by Riksbyggen to construct 163 tenant-owned apartments in Täby Park, north of Stockholm. This is the parties’ fourth joint project in the area. The project is a turnkey contract in partnering form with an order value of approximately SEK 350 million.

"Riksbyggen is now planning two new tenant-owner associations in Täby Park: Brf Bersån and Bonum Brf Boulevarden. Bonum is Riksbyggen’s highly popular senior living concept. We now look forward to continuing our successful residential construction in Täby Park in cooperation with NCC,” says Stefan Högman, Market Area Manager at Riksbyggen.

NCC and Riksbyggen have previously initiated three joint projects in the area: in 2019 with the Cykelverkstaden project comprising 111 tenant-owned apartments, and in 2020 with the Galopphästen project comprising 125 rental apartments and Parkliv project comprising 98 tenant-owned apartments. Two more projects are now set to commence: Boulevarden and Bersån.

NCC has been commissioned to construct 163 tenant-owned apartments across three buildings comprising five to nine stories. The apartments will range from one-bedroom to four-bedroom units, and a common underground garage with 72 parking spaces will be built below the buildings. NCC will also construct a restaurant, commercial premises, common area for residents and a guest apartment.

“Riksbyggen and NCC have a strong and successful partnership behind them. These additional 163 apartments will enable us to leverage our collective expertise and be even more efficient,” says Henrik Landelius, Head of NCC Building Sweden.

The project will be environmentally certified under the Sweden Green Building Council, Silver level, which places strict demands on, for example, low energy consumption, healthy indoor climate and good choice of materials.

Construction is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2022 and the first tenants are expected to take up occupancy in 2025. The assignment is valued at approximately SEK 350 million and will be registered among orders in the first quarter of 2022 in the NCC Building Sweden business area.
