“HSB and NCC have enjoyed a strong and long-standing partnership and we look forward to developing the Majorna district together with NCC as the contractor. With our collective expertise and NCC’s solid experience of building sustainable residential units, we are creating modern and attractive accommodation for the residents of Gothenburg,” says Kristian Isberg, business area manager, HSB Göteborg.

NCC’s assignment is a turnkey contract that will be conducted in partnering form and will include the construction of 141 apartments and city row houses ranging from studios to four-bedroom units. The properties can be accessed via five stairwells in buildings ranging from two to thirteen floors, with underlying basements or garages. The contract also includes building the tenant-owner association’s common areas, such as laundry rooms, inner courtyards, roof top terrace and community room.

“The shared base of expertise that HSB and NCC have built up over time ensures a successful partnership concerning the block. We have built many of HSB’s projects across the country and are pleased with the continued confidence shown in us by HSB to participate in the creation of more homes in Gothenburg,” says Henrik Landelius, Head of NCC Building Sweden.

The block will be named HSB brf Spanjoletten and it will be environmentally certified under the Sweden Green Building Council, Silver level, which places strict demands on, for example, low energy consumption, healthy indoor climate and a good choice of materials.

Fixfabriken is an urban development project in western Gothenburg where HSB Gothenburg and Fastighets AB Balder are coming together to build four residential blocks that will densify the area between Sandarna, Klippan and Kungsladugård. The project is a part of BoStad2021, a joint project between the real estate industry and the City of Gothenburg.

Construction is expected to commence in mid-April 2022, and the project is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025.

The order value of about SEK 365 million will be registered during the first quarter of 2022 in the NCC Building Sweden business area.
