NCC signs framework agreement for paving work in Lund, Sweden
NCC has signed a framework agreement with Lund Municipality and Lunds Kommuns Fastighets AB (LKF) for asphalt paving. The agreement extends over a maximum of four years with a total volume of approximately SEK 200 million.
The framework agreement includes milling, asphalt paving, road marking, civil engineering work and other related works called off as needed by the Municipality and LKF.

The asphalt used by NCC in Lund is produced at the company’s asphalt plant in Södra Sandby and, similar to all NCC asphalt, has about half the climate impact of conventional asphalt, while retaining the same high quality. This is achieved by operating the asphalt plant at a lower production temperature, using biofuel for heating, and having a high proportion of reclaimed asphalt pavement (RAP) that is crushed and recycled. The asphalt plant in Södra Sandby is fossil fuel-free and runs on wood pellets. It is possible to significantly reduce the climate impact further by adding bio-binders to the production process.
The framework agreement is valid for a maximum of four years: one year with an option on a further three years. The agreement volume is capped at approximately SEK 200 million, and will be registered on an ongoing basis in the NCC Industry business area.
