NCC signs road maintenance contract in Dalarna and Gävleborg, Sweden
NCC has been commissioned by the Swedish Transport Administration to conduct road maintenance and paving works in Dalarna and Gävleborg counties, Sweden. The works will extend the service life of the roads and enhance road safety and accessibility. The total order value is approximately SEK 285 million.

The assignments include paving maintenance during which the top layer of asphalt will be removed and the roads will be resurfaced, thereby improving smoothness and drainage while reducing wear and tear. Works will be conducted on several routes in the two counties, including the 66, 50 and 70 regional roads and the E16 and E4 expressways.
“A functioning society requires roads that are in good condition. Working closely with the Swedish Transport Administration and making extensive efforts to reduce the climate footprint, we are looking forward to improving the roads in Dalarna and Gävleborg counties for a long time to come,” says Grete Aspelund, Head of NCC Industry.
A total of approximately 220,000 tons of asphalt will be milled and the resulting material will be recycled and used in the resurfacing projects or in other paving works. By using renewable fuel in the asphalt plants in Gävle, Mora and Falun, NCC can reduce its climate impact and carbon emissions from asphalt production in the projects.
The contract extends over two years and work will commence in summer 2026. The total order value amounts to approximately SEK 285 million and will be registered among orders in the NCC Industry business area in the first quarter of 2026.
