Espoonlahti is an area where development is set to gather momentum, with the addition of a new metro station and the new Lippulaiva shopping center, which will open in 2023.

“The seaside area of Espoonlahti is in the process of being transformed into a modern urban center, where services are close at hand for the inhabitants and there is easy access to public transport. NCC has already transformed an office building into a care home in this area and we are pleased to be able to continue to construct housing to its future inhabitants,” says Tuomas Tonteri, Head of Residential Production, Helsinki area at NCC Building Finland.

The project has been jointly developed by NCC and Taaleri Real Estate Fund.

“The project’s development phase has taken a number of years and has required in-depth expertise. The construction of the apartment blocks has now commenced and will continue for nearly three years. We are looking forward to the end result: comfortable and convenient housing in a fantastic setting,” says Taaleri Real Estate Fund’s Project Development Manager, Markus Halkola.

The first block is scheduled for completion in 2021. The top floors of the first new housing unit will be allocated to spacious apartments with three to four rooms, which are unusual in this area.

The total order value amounts to EUR 41 M and will be registered in the order book on an ongoing basis during 2020 in the Building Nordics business area.
