Liseberg Grand Curiosa Hotel, Gothenburg
NCC has worked with Liseberg on expanding the largest amusement park in the Nordic region. The contract included an experience hotel with a total sum of contract: 850 MSEK.
Liseberg Amusement Park is one of the Nordic region’s most popular tourist destinations, with over 3 million visitors each year. Now Liseberg is making a substantial investment to expand the park with, among other things, a park-integrated hotel.

This hotel will be something different indeed. 29,000 m² total area with 457 rooms, all with at least 5 beds, a restaurant with 790 seats and a outdoor dining terrace with 130 seats, a roof bistro with 220 seats and 180 seats outdoors.
Construction started in the fall of 2019 and the hotel opened in 2023.
Partnering
Running the project as a partnering contract is the optimum way of working on complex and large builds, resulting in a better end product. NCC has extensive experience of building swimming pools and aquatic centers, not least through its water and environment specialists at NCC Badhus, which will come in extremely useful when constructing one of Sweden’s largest waterparks.
