Leppävaara Hatsina - Urban development area next to Ring Road I

Modern office, retail and service space jazzed up with sports and entertainment opportunities at a brilliant location in growing Leppävaara, along Perkkaantie road, within easy reach of Ring Road I.

Leppävaara Hatsina extends the attractive retail and workplace area in Leppävaara towards Perkkaa. Interesting urban city blocks will be created within 300 metres of the railway station with plentiful possibilities to enjoy shopping and spare-time activities after the day is done. The area will be built in phases. The targeted completion of Phase I (first offices) is August 2021.

Leppävaara Hatsina consists of four office blocks and a hotel to be built in phases. Offices will provide modern premises for larger and smaller users; from headquarter needs to multi-tenant principles. In addition Hatsina Centre’s, commercial space will be made available for large retail units and services. The retail spaces will complement the services at Sello, offering additional space for large retail units and auxiliary services thereto. The Centre also offers facilities for various indoors sports and indoor activity parks. Urban new area will accommodate high-convenience use for both work and play and a possibility to spend time together with the whole family enjoying shopping, sports and various kinds of spare-time activities.

A neat location in the evolving Leppävaara area

Leppävaara Hatsina is located in an area called the Hatsinanpuisto park. It is bordered by Ring Road, Perkkaantie and the railroad running along the coast. Leppävaara is a solid workplace, retail and residential cluster. A densely-built residential area and an extensive office area has formed around Sello Shopping Centre. In addition to Leppävaara Hatsina, there are several other projects being developed in the neighbouring areas, for example, many new residential buildings right next to the development area.

Traffic connections

Hatsina centre can be accessed by several modes of public traffic and by car as well. Ring Road I is Espoo’s busiest artery with an average traffic count of over 94,000 vehicles per day. The centre is conveniently accessible by car, while parking is arranged in the parking establishment. Leppävaara is Espoo’s most prominent train and bus traffic hub and the most important drive-and-ride parking station. Some 11,500 passengers pass through the railway station every day. A future light rail connection will serve the Centre from the Perkkaantie side, and there will be a light rail stop right in front of the Centre.

Environmental issues

Leppävaara Hatsina will be built to meet the standards of the international BREEAM environmental rating system in category Very Good.
