OOPS is an oasis of encounters where well-being and nature support a mobile working life. OOPS forms an entire urban district in the green Hatsinanpuisto area, by the protected Monikonpuro brook. The area is planned with office spaces, a hotel, apartments, educational establishments and a wide range of commercial and free-time services to work seamlessly together.
OOPS builds upon the principles of well-being and creates a basis for an international ecosystem. It is a striving community which grows and evolves continuously, since its members share common values based on meaningful matters: sustainable development, the highest possible degree of well-being, and work.
Individuals are encouraged to lead a healthy life style at work by discreetly nudging their physical, social and digital behaviour towards better choices. Since work and life in general are in need of confident encounters, we created an oasis for them and named it OOPS – an Oasis Of Professionals.
Just a couple of steps from Leppävaara commuter train and bus station; the future light rail line will have a stop in front of property. Within the immediate impact zone live over 20,000 residents and within 15 minutes’ drive almost 500,000 people. The rapidly growing Leppävaara is one of the most attractive workplace districts in the metropolitan area.
The Hatsina area of Leppävaara will be built with five office blocks and a hotel in five phases. The offices will be implemented by the multi-space concept, but also for headquarters use based on the demand. In addition, the building ensemble will offer spaces for large retail units and services, but also a wide range of indoor sports and entertainment facilities, including spaces for indoor activity parks. It is the perfect place for combining work with free-time activities where you can even bring the entire family to shop, exercise and engage in many different activities together.
OOPS is in the middle of Espoo’s busiest and most rapidly growing transport hub, at a visible place, in the intersection of Ring Road I, the main railway track and the future Jokeri light rail route. The site is located in the green area called Hatsinanpuisto, bordered by Ring Road I, the Perkkaantie road and the coastal railway track. The offices along the southern elevation of OOPS overlook directly the Hatsinanpuisto park at the Monikonpuro brook.
Leppävaara is a vital and continuously growing workplace, retail and residential centre. A densely-built residential area and an extensive office area have formed around Sello Shopping Centre. In addition to OOPS, there are several other projects being developed in the neighbouring areas, such as apartments for over 5,000 residents right next to the centre.
OOPS has excellent traffic connections. It can be accessed by several modes of public traffic and by car as well. Ring Road I is Espoo’s busiest artery with an average traffic count of over 94,000 vehicles per day. The centre is easily accessible by car, since parking is arranged on the street level and in the parking establishment. Leppävaara is Espoo’s most prominent train and bus traffic hub and the most important drive-and-ride parking station. Some 11,500 passengers pass through the railway station every day.
OOPS will be built to meet the standards of the international BREEAM environmental rating system in category Excellent.
