Silent Book
Without text but with clear pictures illustrating actual risk situations, the goal of NCC's Silent Book is to reach out to all of NCC's internal and external workers, regardless of which language they speak.
The book, first published in 2013, contains no text, but uses clear illustrations based on real hazardous situations with comparisons of correct and incorrect behavior. The pictures convey how we should deal with potentially dangerous situations and how to use the right equipment in order to ensure that the work environment is as safe as possible.
The Silent Book has been reviewed twice since 2013 and has had a significant impact within the organization and even drawn external interest. In agreement reached with NCC, the Swedish Construction Federation has the right to print and distribute the Silent Book to other organizations and stakeholders in the construction industry.
