NCC Design Introduction - Introduction to NCC design phase
At NCC we believe that good design is the foundation of any successful construction project. That´s why we take a collaborative approach to design from the beginning, bringing together architects, engineers and construction experts to lay the groundwork and establish a strong foundation for a positive and innovative end result for all stakeholders. And everyone involved receives a uniform and clear introduction to gain a good understanding of what it is like to work together with NCC in the design phase.
Many competencies that work together
- Over 12,000 external partners are invited every year to collaborate with us in the design phase.
- Throughout this phase we utilize various systems and platforms to ensure the highest standards of quality, effective communication, and thorough documentation in our projects.
New routine for introduction to the design phase
To meet higher safety requirements and to improve and streamline the introduction process to a projects design phase, NCC is implementing a new routine. Below you can read more about what it means:
- Digital introduktion – New participants are invited to a digital training and introduction to learn more about the design phase at NCC. Attendance is mandatory to gain a basic understanding of how NCC works during the design phase and to gain access to the systems needed.
- Identity verification – In order to follow the Construction Companies' guidelines and meet higher security requirements, all participants must be able to verify their identity through approved ID portals. In Sweden, the industry standard ID06 applies.
- Enhanced IT Security – We are strengthening our IT security measures to ensure a safer digital environment. Our focus is to make sure that the right person has access to the appropriate materials throughout the entire design phase
From when does the new routine apply and for who?
The new routine will be gradually introduced in new projects during the third quarter of 2024 and will include everyone who will collaborate with NCC in the design phase, both internal employees at NCC and external participants.
When it is time for each project to switch to the new routine, you as a partner will receive more detailed information.
What does this mean in practise?
- Invitations for a digital introduction will be sent out before the design phase begins
- You confirm your identity by using your log in to your ID-portal such as ID06, Vastuu etc and gives consent to introductory training being registered
- The introduction will be done individually at a time that suits you
- When you have completed the introduction, the NCC-team can approve and prepare logins to the necessary NCC-systems for your assignment
- The requirement to carry out a digital introduction before the design phase is regulated in NCC's agreement
The aim is to complete all preparatory work related to the introduction before the first start-up meeting.
