NCC to build Granåsen soccer hall in Trondheim

NCC has been commissioned by Trondheim Municipality to build Granåsen soccer hall in Trondheim, Norway. Construction will commence in June 2023 and is scheduled for completion in the end of 2024. The order value is approximately SEK 230 million.

NCC to refurbish county hospital in Trollhättan

NCC has signed an additional agreement with Västfastigheter for an assignment covering part of the refurbishment and expansion of the operation and surgery ward at Northern Älvsborg County Hospital (NÄL) in Trollhättan. The order value is approximately SEK 150 million. 

NCC to convert Spritfabriken in Eslöv, Sweden, into residential units and offices

In collaboration with Eslövs Bostads AB (Ebo), NCC is to construct residential units and offices in the former distillery (Sw: spritfabrik) in Eslöv, Sweden. The project will strive to reuse as much existing material as possible. In the first phase, the parties have jointly planned and budgeted the project and performed preliminary earthworks, demolition and an inventory of material for reuse. Now the project is transitioning to the construction phase. The order value is approximately SEK 320 million.

Change in the number of NCC shares

In accordance with the resolution at the Annual General Meeting on March 31, 2023, NCC has cancelled 8,674,866 own Series B shares previously repurchased by the company.

NCC to start construction of Papirøen

NCC has received planning permission and can now begin the complex large-scale construction of Papirøen together with the development company CØ P/S. The order was first communicated in 2019 and the project is expected to be completed in 2024.

NCC tests lignin for greener asphalt

NCC and RISE (Research Institutes of Sweden) have commenced collaboration to test the renewable raw material lignin as a binding agent in asphalt. The project is part of NCC’s efforts to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and dependence on fossil products.

NCC launches updated sustainability targets

In connection with NCC’s Capital Markets meeting on November 18, NCC launched updated sustainability targets. The updated targets for 2021 and onwards are focused on Climate & Energy and Health & Safety.

Seven years with the Dome of Visions, 2013–2020 

For seven years, the NCC Dome of Visions has been a meeting place for dialogue and debate on innovation and sustainable development at various locations in the Nordic countries, most recently in Gothenburg. The project has been a platform for hundreds of seminars, exhibitions, meetings and talks. NCC recently sold the Dome of Visions in Gothenburg and an interesting and inspiring project has come to an end. The new owners, Nilsson Energy Group, will take over the building, which will continue to be a meeting place for sustainable development, with a particular focus on green hydrogen solutions.
