NCC to remodel and develop industrial site in Turku

NCC has signed an agreement with Hiab Finland Oy to conduct construction work at Hiab’s industrial site in Raisio, near Turku, Finland. The contract includes the modernization and construction of new production and office premises, and is valued at approximately SEK 185 million.

This assignment follows a successful development phase during which the project’s design and target price were set in close collaboration between the parties. The project is being carried out in partnering form, and the scope of work includes renovation to improve the energy efficiency of the existing plant, remodeling, and the construction of a new office building and a prototype center.

The project encompasses approximately 20,000 square meters, of which 16,400 square meters are existing industrial floor space and approximately 3,000 square meters comprise new floor space. The goal is to create an energy-efficient and functional industrial site that supports Hiab’s operations and meets its future needs.

“NCC is continuing to grow in the industrial construction area, and we are pleased that our partnership with Hiab is now moving to the construction phase. Together, we will create state-of-the-art, energy-efficient solutions that will strengthen both Hiab’s operations and its transition activities,” says Esa Lehmusvuori, Business Manager at NCC Building Nordics.

Construction has commenced and the project is scheduled for completion during autumn 2027.

The order value is approximately SEK 185 million and will be registered in the NCC Building Nordics business area in the second quarter of 2026.
