Emissions from a renovated office building account for approximately 40% of those from a new building
NCC developed the former KY Building in the Kamppi area of Helsinki into an office building with modern spaces. The carbon footprint of the current property called Kulma21 was calculated based on realised data and compared to that of a similar new building which could have been constructed in the same site. As a result, some interesting data were acquired as to whether or not the existing building was worth demolishing or renovating.
NCC in Finland wins the Construction Site of the Year competition
NCC's construction site Project Boost C5 in Vallila, Helsinki, has won the Finnish Construction Site of the Year competition organized by the construction magazine Rakennuslehti. Boost C5 is an office building to be used by Nordea, and the project is commissioned by global real estate developer Pembroke.
NCC takes step toward completely digitalized projects
NCC is taking a large step in its digitalization work and is now laying the foundation for the introduction of a standardized digital language for all of the Group’s projects. By using standardized data, NCC will further advance its position in making the construction industry digital.
