Cargotec will move its premises to NCC's We Land office building in Helsinki

NCC Property Development has signed a lease agreement with Cargotec, which will be moving its headquarters to the We Land office building, due to be completed next year in the Ruoholahti area of Helsinki. Cargotec plans to occupy about 2,000 square meters on We Land’s top floors.

NCC becoming increasingly equal

Today is International Women’s Day, and the trend at NCC is toward a more equal company. If the shareholders vote “yes” at the Annual General Meeting, both the Executive Team and the Board of Directors will be completely equal. NCC’s management teams are 40 percent women and 60 percent men, but in total the company is 86 percent men.

Strengthened brand for NCC in the media

NCC has strengthened its external footprint in the media with more news, an increased share of positive articles, and greater visibility for its focus areas. These are the main results in an analysis by media monitoring firm Retriever, conducted between 2014 and 2017.

NCC promoting diversity and gender equality to increase competitiveness

Today is International Women’s Day and for NCC, gender equality and diversity are key issues for improving competitiveness and building a more inclusive society. If the shareholders approve a motion submitted to the Annual General Meeting in early April, five of NCC’s eight Board members will be women. In 2017, four of ten members of NCC’s management groups, on average, were women. However, for the company as a whole, a clear majority of employees (87 percent) are men.

NCC projects selected as best practice of Sustainable Buildings

Three of NCC’s projects have been selected as Nordic best practice of Sustainable Buildings and Construction in a study published in January 2018. The purpose of the report, made by the Nordic Council of Ministers, was to encourage accelerated action by all key stakeholders in the Nordic countries, as well as sharing of lessons learned internationally, by displaying practical and innovative examples.
