I switched my job and country – but without leaving NCC
I seized the opportunity, turned my job into an adventure and swapped Finland for Gothenburg. It’s not all been plain sailing – there have been some challenges with the language, culture and colleagues. But I haven’t regretted a single day since I grabbed this unique opportunity.
I learn something new – every day
After studying for five years in Uppsala, my interest in sustainability was my way into NCC. After working with EPD mapping for a year, I’ve been a Supervisor at NCC Stenmaterial in Gävleborg since August 2022. And at the turn of the year, I’ll be taking over as Site Manager in Dalarna. What a journey it’s been!
Cargotec will move its premises to NCC's We Land office building in Helsinki
NCC Property Development has signed a lease agreement with Cargotec, which will be moving its headquarters to the We Land office building, due to be completed next year in the Ruoholahti area of Helsinki. Cargotec plans to occupy about 2,000 square meters on We Land’s top floors.

In 2021/2022 I was lucky enough to attend a leadership course together with colleagues from different parts of NCC. It was an exciting chance to learn more about the different business challenges and the opportunities NCC is facing. The course was also an important reminder that our ability to develop ourselves and learn from each other is the biggest advantage NCC has in the construction industry.

Hi blog readers! Right now I’m doing a management rotation in the project planning team. At NCC, this means working on coordinating and managing the planning of projects. It’s a really fun, challenging and learning experience – in this post, I hope to teach you more about project planning and project studios!
NCC divest rebar factory in Norrköping
NCC is divesting the Swedish operation Hercules Armering to BE Group. The operation, which is a small manufacturing unit with a factory in Norrköping, Sweden, will now have the opportunity to develop and grow.
NCC takes step toward completely digitalized projects
NCC is taking a large step in its digitalization work and is now laying the foundation for the introduction of a standardized digital language for all of the Group’s projects. By using standardized data, NCC will further advance its position in making the construction industry digital.
Strategic Leadership Program - Reflections from an education
During an eventful year I have combined my role as a Project manager at Infrastructure in Jönköping with NCCs Strategic Leadership Program. Thanks to supportive and understanding coworkers I’ve had the privilege to be able to sneak away at seven times for one to three days at the time and fully concentrate on my learning and development as a part of NCCs leadership.
NCC becoming increasingly equal
Today is International Women’s Day, and the trend at NCC is toward a more equal company. If the shareholders vote “yes” at the Annual General Meeting, both the Executive Team and the Board of Directors will be completely equal. NCC’s management teams are 40 percent women and 60 percent men, but in total the company is 86 percent men.
